Nick Malgieri is a baking superstar – I have all his books and they always survive a purge. When I see them at thrift stores, I have to grab them and find them a good home. Recently, I’ve picked up two of his books for one of you.

How to Bake covers all the basics and more. It is a must have for any serious baker.

Cookies Unlimited is a cookie lover’s dream. 400 recipes from around the globe are shared in this book! As I was preparing this post – I’ve marked a few recipes (from both books) to try. Life is short, eat more cookies.

Jamie Oliver’s Comfort Food – The Ultimate Weekend Cookbook is a beautiful book chock full of you guessed, comfort food. I do believe Mr. Oliver has hit upon almost every ethnic cuisine in this title. Pho, pierogies, pasta dough, curries, satay and schnitzel – oh my! It really is a nice book and I have pulled my copy to try some recipes soon. So many recipes … so little time.

I’ve been terribly busy with cooking and baking and neglecting cookbook giveaways. Shame on me. I pulled these two lovely titles for one of you. One Big Table and Gourmet Today have enough recipes in them to keep you busy for a great deal of time.

 

 

What have I been up to? Writing. Reading cookbooks. Cooking. Baking. No candlestick making. Watching old episodes of the Great British Bake Off — so bloody good. Why didn’t anyone tell me how great that show is…okay people did but why didn’t I listen?
