How much do I love my Cookbook Junkies? Enough to drive to Barnes & Noble and buy two books for you – Dorie Greenspan’s Baking Chez Moi was recently reduced to 9.98 and CIA’s Pies & Tarts to 6.98. I love both books and wanted to share them.

Great combo. Dorie Greenspan is a remarkable author/baker. Always thought my kitchen was small until I saw a feature about her apartment in Paris–super teeny. She’s a pro!

I use my standard round tart pan with the removable bottom fairly often, but I also have a rectangular one that I’ve never used. Hmmm…. maybe a cookbook devoted to Pies and Tarts is just what I need to inspire me to give that pan a try.
I want to be like Dorie Greenspan when I grow up.
Today I was thinking that I don’t often use recipes when I cook, but I nearly always follow a recipe when I bake. I guess that’s one reason that I love cookbooks devoted to baking.
